Synthesis and characterization of dense proton-conducting BaZr1-xYxO3 (x=0÷0.15) ceramics

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2021
In this paper, a technique for high-density BaZr1-xYxO3-6(x=0÷0.15) ceramics producing without the use of sintering additives is discussed. The obtained perovskite-like oxides are single-phase at the yttrium concentration of x=0÷0.1.

Reveal of relationship between microscopy architecture and mechanical performance of Y/Bi substituted Bi‐2212 engineering ceramics

open access: yesMicroscopy research and technique (Print)
This study aims to find out how the crystallinity quality, surface morphology, and mechanical performances change with the substitution of yttrium (Y) for bismuth (Bi) impurity within molar ratios of 0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.12 in the Bi2.0−xYxSr2.0Ca1.1Cu2.0Oy (Bi ...

Quantification of non-stoichiometry in YAG ceramics using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2017
Strict control of composition is of paramount importance for the reproducible fabrication of advanced ceramics. In particular, the preparation of high-grade transparent ceramics of definite line-compounds requires that the ratio of major constitutive ...

Photocatalysis of yttrium doped BaTiO 3 nanofibres synthesized by electrospinning

open access: yes, 2015
Yttrium doped barium titanate (BT) nanofibres (NFs) with significant photocatalytic effect were successfully synthesized by electrospinning. Considering the necessary factors for semiconductor photocatalysts, a well-designed procedure was carried out to ...

Sinterability of nanopowders of terbia solid solutions with scandia, yttria, and lutetia

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Ceramics, 2018
The synthesis of nanopowders of terbia compounds with scandia, yttria, and lutetia was carried out using a self-propagating high-temperature synthesis method involving a mixture of nitrates of metals and glycine as a precursor.
