Wadi Yusuf Nassar, died in Wythenshawe Hospital after a sudden and unexpected deterioration in his health, having had prostatic cancer for some time. He was born in Jifna, a small village near Jerusalem, the son of a priest in the Greek Orthodox Church, on 2 March 1932 and educated in Jerusalem at Rashidya College and later at Birzeit College.
