Current-fed switched Z-source inverters

2017 14th International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ECTI-CON), 2017
In this paper, two new structures for current-fed switched Z-source inverters (CSZSIs) are proposed. The proposed structures have the same number of the elements. The proposed structures have less passive elements in comparison with the conventional current-fed Z-source inverters (CZSIs).

Switched-Inductor Quasi-Z-Source Inverter

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2011
This paper deals with a new family of high boost voltage inverters called switched-inductor quasi-Z-source inverters (SL-qZSIs). The proposed SL-qZSI is based on the well-known qZSI topology and adds only one inductor and three diodes. In comparison to the SL-ZSI, for the same input and output voltages, the proposed SL-qZSI provides continuous input ...

Quasi-switched-inductor Z-source inverter

2016 IEEE 8th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (IPEMC-ECCE Asia), 2016
A new Z-source inverter called Quasi switched inductor Z-source inverter(QSLZSI) is presented in this paper. The proposed inverter not only inherits the advantages of traditional Z-source inverters but also has the unique features of capacitor H-bridge circuit: simplified structure, reduced component count, simplified control strategies, higher boost ...

Z-Source Inverter for Motor Drives

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2005
This paper presents a Z-source inverter system and control for general-purpose motor drives. The Z-source inverter system employs a unique LC network in the dc link and a small capacitor on the ac side of the diode front end. By controlling the shoot-through duty cycle, the Z-source can produce any desired output ac voltage, even greater than the line ...

Z-Source Multilevel Inverters

2016
There are two hotly researched Z-source/quasi-Z-source (ZS/qZS) multilevel inverters: the ZS/qZS neutral-point-clamped (NPC) inverter and ZS/qZS cascaded multilevel inverter (CMI). The ZS/qZS concept, integrating with those traditional multilevel inverters, inherits the merits of both topologies with improved inverter reliability due to short-circuit ...

Multi-cell trans-z-source inverters

2011 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems, 2011
Z-source inverter is a single-stage inverter with added voltage-boost capability for complementing the usual voltage-buck operation of a traditional voltage-source inverter. And it embedded with two capacitors and two inductors in its impedance network.

Tapped inductor quasi-Z-source inverter

2012 Twenty-Seventh Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2012
This paper proposes a high inversion gain single stage boost inverter, which introduces a tapped inductor network into the traditional quasi-Z-source inverter (qZSI), called tapped inductor quasi-Z-source inverter (TL-qZSI). The tapped inductor network including one tapped inductor and two diodes and is used to replace one inductor of the traditional ...

Extended boost trans-Z-source inverter

2017 8th Power Electronics, Drive Systems & Technologies Conference (PEDSTC), 2017
This paper proposes a new topology, which is named the extended boost trans-Z-source inverter. The extended trans-Z-source inverter, which is based on the improved trans-Z-source inverter, provides a continuous input current and a higher boost ability compared to most previously proposed Z-source inverter-based topologies.
