Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Rodzeństwo z zespołem chorej zatoki

open access: yes, 2012
Zespołem chorej zatoki (sick sinus syndrome) nazywa się arytmię związaną z dysfunkcją węzła zatokowo‑ -przedsionkowego. Arytmia ta najczęściej towarzyszy organicznej chorobie serca i występuje u osób w pode‑ szłym wieku, znacznie rzadziej u dzieci ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Laser CO2 metodą z wyboru w terapii naczyniaków moszny u pacjentów z hemofilią A

open access: yes, 2012
W artykule przedstawiono przypadek 31-letniego pacjenta chorego na hemofilię A, z licznymi rozsianymi zmianami naczyniowymi na skórze moszny. Hemofilia jest chorobą dziedziczną, należącą do wrodzonych skaz osoczowych, recesywną sprzężoną z płcią ...

Z logic and its consequences [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
This paper provides an introduction to the specification language Z from a logical perspective. The possibility of presenting Z in this way is a consequence of a number of joint publications on Z logic that Henson and Reeves have co-written since 1997 ...

Investigation on lanthanide-dependent z value of JEM-phase Sialon

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2014
JEM-phase Sialon (LnSi6 zAl1+zOzN10 z) was revealed to have limited z values. To keep the structure stability, substitution of the Si- Nb ondby the Al-O bond isvery restricted and lanthanide-dependent (La /Sm). The z values of La-, Nd- and Sm-doped JEM-phase Sialons are 1.0, 0.6 and 0.4-0.2, respectively.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Noworodek z trzepotaniem przedsionków

open access: yes, 2013

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
