Utilization of Information Technology and Lecturer’s Role in Accounting Learning on the Conservation Character Values and Academic Performance of "Generation Z" Students

open access: yesDinamika Pendidikan, 2019
This study aimed to explain the effect of the utilization of information technology and the role of lecturers in accounting learning on the value of conservation character and academic performance of "Generation Z" students, both directly and indirectly ...

Identification of the Tourism Risks for Z-Value Based Risk Assessment

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Formal Sciences and Engineering, 2021
Abstract The growing importance of the tourism sector to the global economy contributes to the increase of research in tourism risks assessment. In view of this tendency, the results of research in the field of the risk analysis on tourists’ travels in various countries during the last decades have been analyzed.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Removal of Bromophenol Blue from Aqueous Solution Using Bentonite, Zeolite and Graphene Oxide

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal
In this study, an anionic dyestuff bromophenol blue (BrPB) from the aqueous solution was removed by adsorption in the presence of bentonite (B), zeolite (Z) and graphene oxide (GO).

Uniqueness of meromorphic solutions sharing values with a meromorphic function to w(z+1)w(z−1)=h(z)wm(z) $w(z + 1)w(z - 1) = h(z)w^{m}(z)$

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
For the nonlinear difference equations of the form w(z+1)w(z−1)=h(z)wm(z), $$ w(z + 1)w(z - 1) = h(z)w^{m}(z), $$ where h(z) $h(z)$ is a nonzero rational function and m=±2,±1,0 $m = \pm 2, \pm 1,0$, we show that its transcendental meromorphic solution is

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Value distribution of difference polynomials of meromorphic functions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
In this article, we study the value distribution of difference polynomials of meromorphic functions, and obtain some results which can be viewed as discrete analogues of the results given by Yi and Yang [11].

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
