The number of Z-convex polyominoes

open access: yesAdvances in Applied Mathematics, 2008
In this paper we consider a restricted class of convex polyominoes that we call Z-convex polyominoes. Z-convex polyominoes are polyominoes such that any two pairs of cells can be connected by a monotone path making at most two turns (like the letter Z). In particular they are convex polyominoes, but they appear to resist standard decompositions.

RETRACTED: Probability modelling of storage based‐smart energy hub considering electric vehicles charging stations performance and demand side management

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, 2023
Nowadays, researchers are studying the energy discharging of electric vehicles (EVs) in charging stations. Furthermore, these stations can help maintain the balance of electric energy and reduce costs in the energy hub in the discharging mode.

The Real Numbers in Z [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Workshops in Computing, 1997
Le calcul exact des nombres réels est un domaine en croissance rapide avec des applications allant du débogage à la spécification du numérique au programme. Nous présentons une spécification des nombres réels représentés comme dans les listes nites de chiffres signés dans Z.

Aggregation operators of complex fuzzy Z-number sets and their applications in multi-criteria decision making

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems
Fuzzy sets (FSs) are a flexible and powerful tool for reasoning about uncertain situations that cannot be adequately expressed by classical sets. However, these sets fall short in two areas. The first is the reliability of this tool.

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Health‐Related Social Needs in Children With Sickle Cell Disease Are Associated With Worse Health‐Related Quality of Life

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Children with sickle cell disease (SCD) face multiple acute and chronic medical complications that may impact their quality of life as reported by patients themselves. Health‐related social needs (HRSNs), such as food and housing insecurity, are common in people with SCD, but the association between HRSNs and patient‐reported ...

Counting certain quadratic partitions of zero modulo a prime number

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2021
Consider an odd prime number p≡2(mod3)p\equiv 2\hspace{0.3em}\left(\mathrm{mod}\hspace{0.3em}3). In this paper, the number of certain type of partitions of zero in Z/pZ{\mathbb{Z}}\hspace{-0.1em}\text{/}\hspace{-0.1em}p{\mathbb{Z}} is calculated using a ...

Matrix game with Z-numbers

open access: yesThe International Journal of Fuzzy Logic and Intelligent Systems, 2015
In this paper, a matrix game is considered in which the elements are represented as Z-numbers. The objective is to formalize the human capability for solving decision-making problems in uncertain situations. A ranking method of Z-numbers is proposed and used to define pure and mixed strategies.

Cup‐Like Nuclei Is a Hallmark of DUX4/ERG Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Reveals Cytoplasmic Mitochondria Accumulation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cup‐like nuclei are a distinctive morphological feature observed in certain cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We provide evidence that they characterize DUX4/ERG ALL independently of IKZF1 deletion and reveal marked mitochondrial accumulation in this ALL subset.
