An Insight Into The Z-number Approach To CWW

Fundamenta Informaticae, 2013
The Z-number is a new fuzzy-theoretic concept, proposed by Zadeh in 2011. It extends the basic philosophy of Computing With Words (CWW) to include the perception of uncertainty of the information conveyed by a natural language statement. The Z-number thus, serves as a model of linguistic summarization of natural language statements, a technique to ...

Fuzzy Delphi Method with Z-Numbers

2019
Delphi method is one of the basic heuristic methods used in forecasting and decision making. It is based on several stages of experts’ evaluation with feedback. One of the variants is the fuzzy Delphi method, which assumes that expert’s opinion is expressed in fuzzy numbers.

On the number of Z(2)Z(4) and Z(p)Z(p2)-additive cyclic codes

2023
In this paper, we give the exact number of Z(2)Z(4)-additive cyclic codes of length n = r + s, for any positive integer r and any positive odd integer s. We will provide a formula for the the number of separable Z(2)Z(4)-additive cyclic codes of length n and then a formula for the number of non-separable Z(2)Z(4)-additive cyclic codes of length n. Then,

On a View of Zadeh’s Z-Numbers

2012
We first recall the concept of Z-numbers introduced by Zadeh. These objects consist of an ordered pair (A, B) of fuzzy numbers. We then use these Z-numbers to provide information about an uncertain variable V in the form of a Z-valuation, which expresses the knowledge that the probability that V is A is equal to B.

A New Vision of Zadeh’s Z-numbers

2016
From their introduction Z-numbers have been deeply studied and many investigations have appeared trying to reduce the inherent complexity in their computation. In this line, this paper presents a new vision of Z-numbers based on discrete fuzzy numbers with support in a finite chain \(L_n\). In this new approach, a Z-number associated with a variable, X,
