Abstract This paper examines the relationship between shame, stigma and accent for non‐native English speakers in Spain. The low English competence of the Spanish population frequently constitutes a source of individual and collective stigma – which includes the apparent undesirability of Spanish‐sounding English.

ABSTRACT Growing evidence indicates that people with dyslexia have executive function deficits. The current study used a random generation task as a novel way to investigate executive function in adults with dyslexia. Participants (total N = 54) were asked to produce an unpredictable sequence of 100 digits verbally.

ABSTRACT A 75‐year‐old woman with dementia was hospitalized for open reduction and internal fixation of a right femoral stem periprosthetic fracture. While under postoperative observation, she ingested a large amount of disposable diaper material containing a superabsorbent polymer. Emergency endoscopic removal was performed on the same day.
