Reduced Persistence Length and Fluctuation-Induced Interactions of Directed Semiflexible Polymers on Fluctuating surfaces

open access: yes, 1996
We consider directed semiflexible polymers embedded in a fluctuating surface which is governed by either surface tension or bending rigidity. The attractive interactions induced by the fluctuations of the surface reduce the rigidity of the polymers.

Study of Golabar dam reservoir in Zanjan province (Zanjan Province)

open access: yes, 2017
The limnological study of the Golabar dam showed that in the Glabar dam inspite of bing its early establishment due to high nutrient and organic matter is located in eutrophic stage. the pH as well as bicarbonate levels shows that buffering capacity of the lake is high and the value of inorganic and organic matter measured are not considered as ...

Primary Spinal Intradural Hydatid Cysts in a Child With Progressive Paraparesis: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Primary spinal hydatid cyst is an uncommon form of echinococcosis, which may cause focal neurological deficits. We report an extremely rare case of spinal hydatic cyst with several diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. A 4‐year‐old boy was referred to our medical center suffering from progressive lower back pain, weakness and numbness in both

Single Fusion Pore Analysis via Single Cell Amperometry Uncovers Impaired Pore Expansion That Restricts Insulin Exocytosis in Human Type 2 Diabetes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 46, November 10, 2025.
The final step in insulin exocytosis from pancreatic beta cells is the formation of the fusion pore. We combined single‐cell amperometry with microsensors and fluorescence microscopy to monitor insulin exocytosis from different perspectives. Our results reveal a link between impaired fusion pore function and diminished insulin secretion, highlighting ...

Partition Border Tuning and Chattering Mitigation for DC–DC Series Resonant Converters: A Stability‐Oriented Approach

open access: yesIET Circuits, Devices &Systems, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Typical resonant converter controllers are based on linearised averaged models, which have significant modelling errors when there are wide fluctuations in the input voltage, load and reference voltages. In this article, a piecewise affine (PWA) switching surface with active border tuning of affine sections, called the Partition Border Tuning (PBT ...

Revised phylogeny of the Inula complex group (Asteraceae: Inuleae) with a recircumscription of Carpesium and establishment of a new genus Cladocarpesium

open access: yesJournal of Systematics and Evolution, Volume 64, Issue 1, Page 95-105, January 2026.
Cladocarpesium T. Deng & Qun Liu, gen. nov. (separated from Carpesium) is established with Cladocarpesium abrotanoides (L.) T. Deng & Qun Liu designated as the type species. The new genus is morphologically distinguished from Carpesium s.str. by its sympodial growth form (typically producing three branches), sessile capitula, and three‐seriate ...

Mineral chemistry and chromite mineralization in the Qaranaz-Alamkandi area, west Zanjan

open access: yesJournal of Economic Geology, 2021
Introduction Malek Ghasemi and Karimzadeh Somarin (2005) reported that Chromite deposits in Iran occur in Paleozoic and Mesozoic ophiolite complexes in association with serpentinite and serpentinized peridotites and dunites (Ghazi et al., 2004; Shafaii ...
