Risk Assessment of Extreme Precipitation in Northwest Iran in the Light of Changing Climate
The result of the annual study indicates that 56.5% of the respected territory is under risk of extreme precipitation occurrence. This percentage increases to 80.3% on a seasonal scale. The risk map shows that autumn is the primary season for occurrences of extreme precipitation events and these hazards threaten almost the whole region.
