The Zaidi sect, which emerged in the early 2nd century hijri, has developed its own unique doctrine within Shia Islam, guided by its founding imams. One of the significant works reflecting Zaidi legal thought is "al-Ahkām fi’l-halali wa’l-haram" by al-Hadi ila’l-Haqq Yahya b. Husayn (d. 298/911).
