ZCS Redux [PDF]

open access: yesEvolutionary Computation, 2002
Learning classifier systems traditionally use genetic algorithms to facilitate rule discovery, where rule fitness is payoff based. Current research has shifted to the use of accuracy-based fitness. This paper re-examines the use of a particular payoff-based learning classifier system—ZCS. By using simple difference equation models of ZCS, we show that

Adding Temporary Memory to ZCS

Adaptive Behavior, 1994
In a recent article, Wilson (1994) described a "zeroth-level" classifier system (ZCS). ZCS employs a reinforcement learning technique comparable to Q-learning (Watkins, 1989). This article presents results from the first reconstruction of ZCS. Having replicated Wilson's results, we extend ZCS in a manner suggested by Wilson: The original formulation of

A Novel ZCS-PWM Flyback Converter With a Simple ZCS-PWM Commutation Cell

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2008
This paper proposes a novel zero-current-switching pulsewidth-modulation (ZCS-PWM) flyback dc/dc converter using a simple ZCS-PWM commutation cell. The main switch and auxiliary switch operate at ZCS turn-on and turn-off conditions, and all uncontrolled devices in the proposed converter operate at zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) turn-on and turn-off.

Parallelized generation of ZC/ZC-DFT sequences in vector DSP

2015 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC), 2015
A parallelized generation of Zadoff-Chu (ZC) and the Discrete Fourier Transform of Zadoff-Chu (ZC-DFT) sequences is proposed. In this algorithm, the sampling operation is completely eliminated for the ZC-DFT sequences generation. Implemented on a vector Digital Signal Processor (DSP), the proposed algorithm makes an efficient use of the parallel DSP ...

Comprehensive Interference Analysis for ZC-NOMA

2023
In order to realize the integration of communication and navigation on LEO, a new waveform named ZC-NOMA was proposed in the previous study, which was proved to achieve reliable navigation function without significantly affecting the communication performance.
