Podvrste kukuruza (Zea mays L.)
2012Kukuruz ima širok areal rasprostranjenosti. U Hrvatskoj je najzastupljeniji usjev, a prosječan prinos je oko 5, 5 t/ha. Prema botaničkoj pripadnosti kukuruz pripada porodici Poaceae, rodu Zea. Prvi botanički opis kukuruza i naziv Zea mays L. dao je Linne (1753 g.).
