Two alkaloids from Zephyranthes carinata

Phytochemistry, 1998
Abstract Two new Amaryllidaceae alkaloids, 1- O -(3-hydroxybutyryl) pancratistanin and 1-O-(3-O-β- d -glucopyranosylbutyryl) pancratistatin, were isolated from the bulbs of Zephyranthes carinata . The structures of the two alkaloids were established by comprehensive spectral analysis.

Two new ceramides from Zephyranthes candida

Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 2009
Two new ceramides were isolated from the bulbs of Zephyranthes candida. Their structures were established as (2S,3S,4R,13E)-1,3,4-trihydroxy-2-[(2′R)-2′-hydroxytetracosanoylamino]-13-octadecene, named zephyranamide A (1) and (2S,3S,4R)-1,3,4-trihydroxy-2-octacosanoylaminohexadecene, named zephyranamide B (2).

(+)-Epimaritidine, an alkaloid from Zephyranthes rosea

Phytochemistry, 1985
Abstract The isolation and determination, by spectroscopic analyses and chemical correlation, of the structure and stereochemistry of (+)-epimaritidine, a new alkaloid from Zephyranthes rosea , is reported. A facile transformation of maritidine to (+)-epimaritidine is described and the mechanism is appraised in the light of the thermodynamic ...

Crinane and Lycorane Type Alkaloids from Zephyranthes citrina

Planta Medica, 2001
Eight alkaloids have been isolated from Zephyranthes citrina (Amaryllidaceae). The alkaloid oxomaritidine is reported here for the first time from a natural source. The structure and stereochemistry of the alkaloids were determined by physical and spectroscopic methods.

     Hippeastrum Zephyranthes Amaryllidaceae:

2013
Abstract In the present thesis, a phytochemical study of three plants from the flora of Brazil was carried out. The study was performed by the isolation and, subsequently, the structural identification of some of the containing alkaloids. The selected plants were the Hippeastrum aulicum, the Hippeastum vittatum and the Zephyranthes gracilifolia Baker ...

APOMIXIS IN ZEPHYRANTHES TEXANA HERB.

American Journal of Botany, 1951
ZEPHYRANTHES TEXANA Herb. is a species of the subtribe Zephyranthinae of the Amaryllidaceae. In its range it is restricted to the southeastern quarter of Texas where it is known as a yellow rain-lily. It is the same species in which Pace (1913) reported apomixis. At that time it was called Atamosco texana but Zephyranthes Herb.

The Breeding System of Zephyranthes atamasco (Amaryllidaceae)

Bulletin of the Torrey Botanical Club, 1991
mean ? standard deviation) as those from cross-pollinations (24.7 ? 14.0). Germination was slightly lower for seeds produced from self-pollinations (62.3 ? 36.1%) as compared with seeds from cross-pollinations (77.7 ? 22.9%). Self- and cross-pollinations resulted in fruits with significantly more seeds than open-pollinations (13.4 ? 7.3).

Flavans with potential anti-inflammatory activities from Zephyranthes candida

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2016
Three new flavans, (2R,3R)-7-methoxy-flavan-3-ol (1), (2S)-7,3'-dihydroxy-4'-methoxyflavan 3'-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (2), (2S)-7,3'-dihydroxy-4'-methoxyflavan 7-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (3), and one known flavan (4) were isolated from the whole plants of Zephyranthes candida (Amaryllidacea).

Cytotoxic and anti-inflammatory active plicamine alkaloids from Zephyranthes grandiflora

Fitoterapia, 2018
Phytochemical investigation on the 95% EtOH extract of the whole plants of Zephyranthes grandiflora resulted in the isolation of six new 4a-epi-plicamine-type alkaloids, zephygranditines A-F (1-6), including three novel 11,12-seco-plicamine-type alkaloids.
