Spiraling zero-order Bessel beam
Optics Letters, 2009The question that we are addressing concerns the possibility of creating a zeroth-order Bessel-like beam that spirals around the axis of propagation. The analytical features of the beam propagation are studied theoretically. Approximations to such a light field can be experimentally realized by using an axicon and a hologram.

Order, 1990
An angle order is a partially ordered set whose points can be mapped into unbounded angular regions in the plane such that \(x\) is less than \(y\) in the partial order if and only if \(x\)'s angular region is properly included in \(y\)'s. The zero augmentation of a partially ordered set adds one point to the set that is less than all original points ...

Reaction Kinetics and Catalysis Letters, 2008
Reactions at the very first instant of their life, i.e., short after their start, follow a pseudo-zero-order kinetics. The initial rate method studying the very first instants of a reaction, which, i.e., can last hours, if k is in days, when it is applied to the integrated rate laws, allows to approximate any kinetics with a pseudo-zero-order.

Controlled delivery of nanosuspensions from osmotic pumps: Zero order and non-zero order kinetics
Journal of Controlled Release, 2012Nanosuspensions have gained great interest in the last decade as a formulation tool for poorly soluble drugs. By decreasing particle sizes nanosuspensions enhance dissolution rate and bioavailability of the active pharmaceutical ingredient. Micro-osmotic pumps are widely used in experimental pharmacology and offer a tool of interest for the sustained ...

Zeros of sampled systems with fractional order hold implemented by zero order hold
1997 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Processing Systems (Cat. No.97TH8335), 2002For a sampled control system, replacing zero order hold with fractional order hold has been shown to improve the stability of zeros of the system. However, it is difficult to use the fractional order hold in practice. In this study, an approximated method of using fractional order hold is proposed.

Zero-Order Pseudodifferential Operators
2002Our next objective is Wiener-Hopf operators on LP (R + w). One of the technical differences between Wiener-Hopf and Toeplitz operators is the emergence of a multiplier problem in the Wiener-Hopf case. This problem is studied in the first section of this chapter where we in particular prove the important Stechkin inequality. Another point is that Wiener-

Zero-Order Moving Horizon Estimation
2019 IEEE 58th Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2019Moving Horizon Estimation (MHE) is an optimization-based approach to nonlinear state estimation. The computational burden associated with the online solution of the corresponding nonlinear optimization problems poses a major challenge when applying MHE in practice.

Reconfigurable zero-order loop antenna
Proceedings of the 2012 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation, 2012In this paper a compact reconfigurable planar antenna capable of exciting an omnidirectional radiation pattern as well as eight different directional radiation patterns is presented. The antenna exploits Composite Right Left Handed materials to achieve small form factor.
