Spiraling zero-order Bessel beam

Optics Letters, 2009
The question that we are addressing concerns the possibility of creating a zeroth-order Bessel-like beam that spirals around the axis of propagation. The analytical features of the beam propagation are studied theoretically. Approximations to such a light field can be experimentally realized by using an axicon and a hologram.

Zeros of sampled systems with fractional order hold implemented by zero order hold

1997 IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Processing Systems (Cat. No.97TH8335), 2002
For a sampled control system, replacing zero order hold with fractional order hold has been shown to improve the stability of zeros of the system. However, it is difficult to use the fractional order hold in practice. In this study, an approximated method of using fractional order hold is proposed.

Pharmacometric modeling with the zero-order hold

Journal of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics
Solving models comprised of nonlinear differential equations (DEs) in NONMEM using ADVAN6 or ADVAN13 typically requires substantially longer run times than models comprised of linear DEs, which in some cases allow for analytical solutions. Often the need to use nonlinear DE solvers results from pharmacokinetic (PK) variations over the dosing interval ...

Note on the Calculation of Zero Order Eigenfunctions

Physical Review, 1931
An elementary procedure is outlined for obtaining zero approximation eigenfunctions of many electron problems. The procedure allows a calculation of these functions as linear combinations of products of functions, each involving one electron only. The proper combinatin of products for one of the terms of highest multiplicity may, as a rule, be obtained

Zero Order Oxidation of Tolbutamide in vivo

Nature, 1962
IT has been shown that in 4 out of 5 test subjects carboxytolbutamide [1-butyl-3-p-carboxyphenylsulphonylurea] was excreted in the urine by a first-order process following the oral or intravenous administration of tolbutamide [1-butyl-3-p-tolylsulphonylurea]1; furthermore, that the rate constant found for this excretion was the rate constant for the in
