A zero-voltage transition boost converter using a zero-voltage switching auxiliary circuit
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2002A soft switching boost converter with zero-voltage transition (ZVT) main switch using zero-voltage switching (ZVS) auxiliary switches is proposed. Various operating intervals of the converter are presented and analyzed. Design considerations are discussed.

A simple zero-voltage-switching boost converter
Proceedings IEEE Southeastcon '98 'Engineering for a New Era', 2002In this paper, a new type of PWM boost zero-voltage-switching converter is presented. The new soft-switching converter is formed by adding only two auxiliary components to a conventional boost converter, namely: an active switch and a resonant inductor. The voltage stresses on both the main and auxiliary switches are fixed at V/sub g/+V/sub o/ and they

Zero-voltage-switching converters with multi-resonant bipolar switch
Proceedings of IEEE Power Electronics Specialist Conference - PESC '93, 2002Full-wave mode operation of zero-voltage-switched (ZVS) power converters may be losslessly implemented by splitting the resonant capacitor across both the active switch (MOSFET) and the series diode. By appropriately choosing the relative size of each capacitor, charge otherwise trapped inside the MOSFET output capacitance at turn-on may be ...

Zero voltage switching series resonant based UPS
PESC 98 Record. 29th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference (Cat. No.98CH36196), 2002This paper presents a novel single-phase UPS topology based on series resonant power converters. Among the features of the proposed topology are: (i) zero voltage switching for all power converters that comprise the UPS; (ii) inherent protection against short-circuits in the load; (iii) high quality output waveforms even when operating at no load or ...

Zero voltage switching approach for flyback converter
[Proceedings] Fourteenth International Telecommunications Energy Conference - INTELEC '92, 2003A zero voltage switched flyback power converter which realizes soft switching for every semiconductor is proposed. The sinusoidal resonant current flows through the secondary side rectifier diode and zero current switching of the diode is realized. Diode recovery is not generated.

Zero-Voltage-Switching Voltage Doubled SEPIC Converter
2011A zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) voltage doubled single-ended primary inductor converter (SEPIC) is presented in this paper. An active clamp circuit is added to the conventional isolated SEPIC converter to clamp the voltage across the switches and provide ZVS operation.

This paper proposes a voltage unbalance compensation method of series-connected switching devices for high voltage application such as DC distribution systems. In the series connection, a turn-off voltage unbalance occurs in switching devices due to a parasitic parameter mismatch and a switching timing mismatch among switching devices. In this paper, a

Zero voltage switched chopper with SiC-MOSFETs
2013 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition, 2013This paper describes a study applying SiC-MOSFETs to soft switching topology with ZVS (zero voltage switching) and evaluating performance of new dc-dc converter when compared with conventional one with silicon IGBTs. Soft switching topology is SAZZ (snubber assisted zero voltage zero current transition) proposed for high frequency, high efficiency and ...
