Zeta potential of phosphors

Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 1995
Abstract The zeta potentials of several oxide, sulfide, and oxysulfide phosphors were measured in isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and IPA containing dissolved nitrate salts and water. The zeta potentials of phosphors in IPA without dissolved salts are negative.

Effect of zeta potential on properties of foamed colloidal suspension

Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2019
We reveal that zeta potential has a notable effect on properties of foamed suspension, which remains poorly explored. It is demonstrated low zeta potential is beneficial for foam stability, and the experimental results show that absolute value of zeta ...

Zeta Potential in the Development of Pharmaceutical Suspensions

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1966
A discussion of a microelectrophoretic mobility apparatus (Zeta-Meter) is presented in connection with some prerequisite studies with a model dispersed system. The limitations of the fundamental Helmholtz-Smoluchowski formula for calculating zeta potential as it applies to a study of real pharmaceutical systems is presented.

Experimental studies on zeta potential of flocculants for harvesting of algae.

Journal of Environmental Management, 2019
An experimental study was performed to evaluate the comparative efficiency of bio-flocculant (waste egg shell), laboratory available calcium carbonate (LACC) and alum (Al2 (SO4)3) for harvesting of unicellular microalga, Chlorella pyrenoidosa.

Zeta Potential Determination of Targeted Nanoparticles

2021
Abstract In a dispersion system, colloids interact with one another. It is assumed that these interactions are promoted by two main forces, London-van der Waals forces that lead to attraction and electromagnetic effects that leads to repulsion. The zeta potential (ZP) is the electrical potential at the surface of a hydrodynamic shear plane.

Effects of HLB value on oil-in-water emulsions: Droplet size, rheological behavior, zeta-potential, and creaming index

Journal of Industrial & Engineering Chemistry, 2018
Using mixed nonionic surfactants Span/Tween, we investigated the effects of HLB value on the O/W emulsion stability and rheological behaviors. In this study, MS-01 (Span 60 & Tween 60) and MS-02 (Span 80 & Tween 80) was used as mixed nonionic surfactants.

Zeta potential measurement of calcium carbonate

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2003
The problem of scaling, which one finds in industrial heat exchangers, particularly in atmospheric coolers in nuclear power stations, depends on calcium carbonate deposits from fresh water. To better understand this phenomenon, we have examined the eventual implication of superficial electric charge of precipitated crystal nuclei.

Zeta Potential Measurements on Passive Metals

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1995
In this study, one shows that the zeta potential can be determined on stainless steel sheet surfaces by streaming potential measurements, These surfaces are in fact covered with a thin oxyhydroxide film known as ''the passive film.'' Zeta potential depends on the solution composition and the surface final conditions, The zeta potentials on AISI 304 ...

Polysaccharide zeta-potentials and protein-affinity

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2017
Theζ-potential, a parameter typically obtained by model-dependent transformation of the measured electrophoretic mobility, is frequently used to understand polysaccharide–protein complexation.
