Introducing Membrane Charge and Membrane Potential to T Cell Signaling

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2017
While membrane models now include the heterogeneous distribution of lipids, the impact of membrane charges on regulating the association of proteins with the plasma membrane is often overlooked.

How Well Can You Tailor the Charge of Lipid Vesicles? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Knowledge and control of surface charge or potential is important for tailoring colloidal interactions. In this work, we compare widely used zeta potential (ζ) measurements of charged lipid vesicle surface potential to direct measurements using the ...

Filler and Water Reducer Effects on Sedimentation, Bleeding and Zeta-Potential of Cement Paste

open access: yesNordic Concrete Research, 2018
Bleeding and sedimentation quantify the stability of fresh cement paste, whereas the addition of fillers and water reducers affect the stability.

Targeting TNBC: core–shell polycationic polyurea dendrimers with inherent anticancer activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Core–shell polycationic PURE dendrimers were tested in TNBC‐derived tumor models. Both formulations selectively targeted TNBC and effectively reduced tumor volume. PUREG4‐OEI48 suppressed tumor growth without detectable toxicity, whereas PUREG4‐OCEI24, despite showing efficacy, induced hepatic toxicity.

Hydrodynamics within the Electric Double Layer on slipping surfaces

open access: yes, 2004
We show, using extensive Molecular Dynamics simulations, that the dynamics of the electric double layer (EDL) is very much dependent on the wettability of the charged surface on which the EDL develops.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Influence of calcium ions on physical chemical characteristics of semiconductor quantum dots encapsulated by amphiphilic polymer and their efficiency of cellular uptake

open access: yesЖурнал Белорусского государственного университета: Химия, 2020
Here, we studied the effect of calcium ions on the physicochemical properties and cellular uptake of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots encapsulated with poly(maleic anhydride-alt-1-tetradecene), modified to a varying extent by quaternary ammonium groups.
