Entropy‐Controlled Exsolution of Highly Dispersed Nickel‐Based Active Metals From Spinel Oxide via Optimizing Metal‐Support Interaction for Dry Reforming of Methane

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The incorporation of transition‐metal elements into spinel oxides results in enhanced configurational entropy and increased metal‐support interaction, which continuously modulate the exsolution of nickel‐based active metal. The highly dispersed nickel‐based metal catalyst, formed through the entropy‐controlled strategy, demonstrates remarkable activity

Fe‐Facilitated Deep Reconstruction of Ni3S2 Toward Superior Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
In situ Raman spectroscopy combined with density functional theory (DFT) reveals that Fe substitution is able to facilitate the deep reconstruction of Ni3S2 into oxyhydroxides (DR‐(Ni,Fe)OOH), inducing a downshift in the energy band structure, optimizing oxygen‐containing intermediates adsorption, and thereby improving the performance of the oxygen ...

Spin‐State Engineering via Cr3+ Incorporation in Co3O4 Spinel for Efficient Bifunctional Oxygen Electrocatalysis

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Cr doping causes distortion of the CoO6 octahedron, modifies the spin state of CoOh, and enhances the bifunctional catalytic activity. ABSTRACT The primary challenge in rechargeable Zn‐air batteries lies in developing a catalyst capable of simultaneously improving performance for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) during discharge and oxygen evolution ...
