Unveiling Zinc Stripping and Molecular Engineering for High‐Performance Zinc Anode

Angewandte Chemie International Edition
AbstractThe unstable zinc anode is a key challenge limiting the cycle life of rechargeable zinc‐ion batteries. The current research primarily focuses on the zinc plating process, with strategies to induce uniform zinc deposition for a stable zinc anode. Here, we demonstrate that the zinc stripping process has a more significant impact on the subsequent

Voltage decay at passivated zinc anodes

Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 1971
A study has been made of the passivating process at a zinc electrode in KOH solutions. Zinc electrodes were passivated at a constant overpotential and the current response during passivation was measured. The potential response after the passivating potential was removed was also measured.

Fluorinated Aromatic Anode‐electrolyte Interface for Highly Reversible Zinc Anode

Advanced Functional Materials
Abstract The issues of dendrite formation and side reactions at the zinc anode–electrolyte interface are the primary factors limiting the reversibility and stability of aqueous zinc‐ion batteries (AZIBs). Herein, the functionalities of fluorinated aromatic additive on zinc anode–electrolyte interface are ...

3D Printing of Zinc Anode for Zinc Ion Batteries

Recently, 3D printing has received increasing attention for the fabrication and assembly of electrodes for batteries due to the freedom of creating structures in any shape or size, porosity, flexibility, stretchability, and chemistry. Particularly, zinc ion batteries (ZIBs) are favored due to high safety, cheap materials cost, and high volumetric ...
