Leaching Behavior of Copper Sulfide Concentrate in Sulfate–Chloride Media With Hydrogen Peroxide and Ethylene Glycol

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
Copper sulfide concentrate leaching in sulfate–chloride media was significantly enhanced by chloride ions and stabilized hydrogen peroxide. Ethylene glycol suppressed oxidant decomposition at high temperature, increasing copper recovery to 75.2% and overcoming chalcopyrite passivation through a surface‐reaction‐controlled mechanism.

Service Life Assessment of Lead and its Alloy Anodes During Zinc Electrowinning

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2019
Lead (Pb) and its alloy anodes are widely used in the process of zinc electrowinning. It is important, yet difficult, to evaluate the service life of different anodes with varying components. In this work, electrochemical accelerated corrosion tests were

Toward 4R Electronics: Liquid‐Metal‐Enabled Thin Film, and Field‐Effect Transistors for Sustainability and E‐Waste Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 7, 6 April 2026.
The 4R principle—Resilience, Repairability, Recyclability, and Renewability—enables sustainable liquid‐metal transistors. LM materials provide stretchable, damage‐tolerant architectures, allow rapid circuit repair, permit full material recovery through dissolution, and support renewable fabrication cycles, forming a closed‐loop pathway toward ...

Study of the Effects of Multiple Organic Additives on Zinc Deposition During Zinc Electrolysis

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 38, Issue 4, April 2026.
The effects of different concentrations of ionic liquid additive 1‐ethyl‐3‐methylimidazole‐methanesulfonic salt [EMIM]MSO3 and glue on the cathodic potential and quality of zinc electrodeposition have been investigated. It was found that after 5 h of electrolysis and 1 h of potential decay, the corrosion rates of the Pb–Ag alloy anodes were 3.93, 3.77,

Hierarchical Fluorinated Polymer Separator Design Mitigating Bilateral Ionic Crosstalk in Aqueous Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 7, 18 February 2026.
Aqueous zinc‐ion batteries suffer from rapid decay under practical conditions due to bilateral Zn2+/Mn2+ ionic crosstalk, a system‐level failure mechanism. We develop a hierarchical fluorinated polymer separator that regulates ion fluxes and stabilizes both electrodes simultaneously. This strategy enables extended cycle life while maintaining capacity,

Characterization of Double Leached Waelz Oxide for Identification of Fluoride Mineral

open access: yesMetals, 2019
Double leached Waelz oxide (DLWO), with 76% zinc, is a secondary zinc containing raw materials obtained by the treatment of electric arc furnace dust. The content of fluoride in DLWO is still too high for direct leaching, as fluoride has a detrimental ...

Review and Integrated Framework for Deep‐Sea Mineral Resources, Ecological Influence, and Future Development

open access: yesInternational Journal of Microbiology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
As global industrialization advances and land‐based resources decline, deep‐sea resource development is becoming increasingly vital. The deep sea is rich in minerals such as polymetallic nodules, polymetallic sulfides, and cobalt‐rich crust. However, deep‐sea ecosystems and geochemical cycles can be severely impacted by extensive mineral mining.
