Microbial Loads in Traumatized Immature Teeth and Their Impact on the Treatment Outcomes of Regenerative Endodontic Treatment: A Randomized Clinical Trial Comparing Chlorhexidine and Calcium Hydroxide

open access: yesDental Traumatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Regenerative endodontic treatment (RET) aims to promote root maturation in necrotic immature teeth, where effective microbial disinfection is crucial for treatment success. This study evaluated the effect of calcium hydroxide (CH) and 2% chlorhexidine gluconate (CHD) as intracanal medicaments and their impact on bacterial loads ...

Micromechanics analysis of thermal expansion and thermal pressurization of a hardened cement paste [PDF]

open access: yesCement and Concrete Research (2011), 2011
The results of a macro-scale experimental study of the effect of heating on a fluid-saturated hardened cement paste are analysed using a multi-scale homogenization model. The analysis of the experimental results revealed that the thermal expansion coefficient of the cement paste pore fluid is anomalously higher than the one of pure bulk water.

Pull‐Off Forces on Implant‐Supported Single Restorations by Sticky Food: An In Vitro Study

open access: yesClinical Oral Implants Research, Volume 36, Issue 1, Page 40-50, January 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the pull‐off forces on implant‐supported restorations caused by sticky food, to understand how much retention force cemented restorations must have to withstand chewing forces without unintentional retention loss. The influence of food type, restoration design, and surface treatment were investigated.
