The axolotl's remarkable regenerative abilities decline with age, the causes may include the numerous repetitive elements within its genome. This study uncovers how Ty3 retrotransposons and coexpression networks involving muscle and immune pathways respond to aging and regeneration, suggesting that transposons respond to physiological shifts and may ...

Effect of different Zinc precursors in Structural and Optical properties of ZnO thin films [PDF]
Zinc oxide thin films were deposited by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technique using different Zinc precursors: Zinc acetate, Zinc nitrate and zinc chloride with different molarities. All deposited films were characterized by various techniques such as X-ray diffraction to determine the films structure, the scanning electron microscopy SEM for the ...

Competition between Ferrimagnetism and Magnetic Frustration in Zinc Substituted YBaFe4O7 [PDF]
The substitution of zinc for iron in YBaFe4O7 has allowed the oxide series YBaFe4-xZnxO7, with 0.40 < x < 1.50, belonging to the "114" structural family to be synthesized. These oxides crystallize in the hexagonal symmetry (P63mc), as opposed to the cubic symmetry (F-43m) of YBaFe4O7. Importantly, the d.c. magnetization shows that the zinc substitution

The Regulation of Trace Metal Elements in Cancer Ferroptosis
The induction of ferroptosis inhibits tumor growth, enhances anticancer efficacy, and overcomes drug resistance. Recent evidence shows nonferrous metal elements play a role in ferroptosis. This review focuses on how trace metals regulate ferroptosis processes like iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant defense.

Dependence of Zinc Oxide Thin Films Properties on Filtered Vacuum Arc Deposition Parameters [PDF]
The micro-properties (structure and composition), and macro-properties (electrical and optical properties) of zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films deposited on glass substrates using a filtere vacuum arc deposition (FVAD) system were investigated as a function of oxygen pressure (0.37 - 0.5 Pa) and arc current (100 - 300 A).

Multi-wavelength Raman scattering of nanostructured Al-doped zinc oxide [PDF]
In this work we present a detailed Raman scattering investigation of zinc oxide and aluminum-doped zinc oxide (AZO) films characterized by a variety of nanoscale structure and morphology and synthesized by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) under different oxygen pressure conditions.

Additive manufacturing of magnesium alloys by laser is difficult because the melting point of the oxide layer is much higher than the evaporation temperature of the metal underneath. Making the oxide layer thinner can solve this problem. Alloying magnesium with strontium makes the oxide layer thinner, especially at 0.5 wt%.

Properties of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles and Their Activity Against Microbes
Zinc oxide is an essential ingredient of many enzymes, sun screens, and ointments for pain and itch relief. Its microcrystals are very efficient light absorbers in the UVA and UVB region of spectra due to wide bandgap.
