A stochastic sampling approach to zircon eruption age interpretation
The accessory mineral zircon is widely used to constrain the timing of igneous processes such as magma crystallization or eruption. However, zircon U-Pb ages record zircon crystallization, which is not an instantaneous process.

An aminostratigraphy of the northern Upper Rhine Graben, Germany
ABSTRACT The northern Upper Rhine Graben (Germany) contains a complex, quasi‐continuous Quaternary record, but constraining its chronology is challenging. This study presents the first application of amino acid geochronology for this region using Bithynia opercula to establish a relative dating framework.

This paper presents a new protocol for the laboratory preparation of archaeological samples. Ceramics that have been hand‐crafted using different sediments as raw materials were collected in a Roman Villa sited in Fiumana (FC), Italy. This method aims at concentrating and analysing heavy minerals in the 15–250 μm grain size fraction, studying the ...

A sequential multi‐strain inoculation approach for designing functional Sicilian table olives
Abstract BACKGROUND The exploitation of microbial strains with advanced technological traits is a pivotal step in enhancing the production of table olives and meeting consumers' demands. RESULTS Here, a multi‐step approach involving the sequential addition of a Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (namely C11C8) starter strain and a Lacticaseibacillus ...

Late Precambrian U-Pb titanite age for peak regional metamorphism and deformation (Knoydartian orogeny) in the western Moine, Scotland [PDF]
There has been controversy over the number and timing of orogenies in the Precambrian Moine block in the Scottish Caledonides since the earliest radiometric dating in the 1960s. This work challenges a recent hypothesis, that this sector of the Laurentian
