Graded Hydroxyapatite Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Structures for Bone Tissue Engineering Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the role of triply periodic minimal structures in load bearing bone tissue engineering applications. Research uses a combination of mechanical testing, material characterization, and in vitro tests to study the impact of TPMS lattice structures (gyroid, lidinoid and split‐P).

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

High Rate Capability and Cycling Stability in Multi‐Domain Nanocomposite LiNi1–xTi3x/4O2 Positive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
By targeting nominally non‐stoichiometric LiNi1–xTi3x/4O2 compositions, a multi‐domain nanocomposite rock salt positive electrode material with exceptional cycling stability and excellent rate performance is obtained. This enhanced performance particularly under high oxidative potential protocols and cell electrode mass loadings applicable to ...

Dip Coating of Zirconia and Mixed Zirconia Films

open access: yesJournal of the Ceramic Association, Japan, 1987
When glycols (except ethylenglycol) were added to an isopropanol solution of zirconium n-butoxide, the corresponding glycolates were formed by the alcohol exchange reaction, and the precipitation of oxide by hydrolysis was strongly suppressed. Diethylene glycol was most effective as the glycol additive for the precipitation retarder.
