More on crystalline zirconium phosphates
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1973Abstract Heating α-zirconium phosphate (α-ZrP) for long periods of time leads to the formation of two new phases ζ-ZrP and η-ZrP. The former phase is similar in structure to the phase obtained from solid-solid ion exchange reactions at low metal ion loadings.

Proton conductivity of mesoporous zirconium phosphate pyrophosphate
Solid State Ionics, 1999The conductivity of a mesoporous zirconium phosphate pyrophosphate of composition Zr(P 2 O 7 ) 0.81 (O 3 POH) 0.38 and surface area of 215 m 2 /g has been determined as a function of temperature at controlled relative humidity. Ac and dc conductivity measurements carried out on pellets with platinum electrodes, in nitrogen or hydrogen flow, showed ...

On the mechanism of ion exchange in zirconium phosphates—XXII mixed zirconium titanium phosphates
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1978Abstract α-Titanium phosphate, Ti(HPO4)2·H2O, was found to form two sodium ion exchanged phases. A half exchanged phase of ideal composition TiNaH(PO4)2·4H2O formed first. However, before all of the titanium phosphate was converted to this phase a second phase of higher Na+ content formed. Thus, a three phase solid existed until sufficient sodium ion

Topotactic synthesis of α-zirconium phenylphosphonate from α-zirconium phosphate
Journal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions, 1998α-Zirconium phenylphosphonate has been synthesised by a reaction between α-zirconium phosphate and molten phenylphosphonic acid. The reaction produces a physical mixture of the ‘pure’ phases of α-zirconium phenylphosphonate and α-zirconium phosphate, with the ratio dependent on the ratio of phenylphosphonic acid to α-zirconium phosphate in the ...

Abstract Intercalation chemistry of layered zirconium phosphates is of interest for a better knowledge of their protonic conductivity. Intercalation compounds of γ-zirconium phosphate with some alkanols, n -alkylmonoamines and benzylamine have been prepared and characterized for their X-ray powder diffraction patterns, IR spectra and TG-DTA analyses.

Fluoride anion interaction has been explored for the first time to investigate how the structure of sodium zirconium phosphate (NZP) and calcium zirconium phosphate (CZP) can be altered in its presence. Different compositions were made by adding NaF and CaF2 in CZP and NZP matrices respectively.

Zirconium phosphates on silica matrix
Solid State Ionics, 1993Abstract Zirconium phosphates on silica matrices are of interest for potential practical applications in ion exhange, ionic conductivity and catalysis. The α- and γ-layered forms of zirconium phosphate on a silica matrix were prepared and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction patterns and by their thermal behaviour.

The preparation of nanoparticle zirconium phosphate
Materials Letters, 2007Nano-sized zirconium phosphate was synthesized by the solvothermal method using stoichiometric amounts of inorganic zirconium and phosphate salts by surfactant anilin (An) and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate (Tween). The formation of zirconium phosphate was investigated by means of XRD.

Ionic Conductivity of Zirconium Phosphate
Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1962Conductivity measurements were made on zirconium phosphate prepared using an excess of phosphoric acid and not subjected to high temperatures. Measurements were made of conductivity vs temperature. In order to determine the thermal stability of the zirconium phosphate, a thermogravimetric analysis was conducted.
