Zirconium−Phosphonate Monolayers with Embedded Disulfide Bonds

Langmuir, 2003
Disulfides are chemically and electrochemically reactive functional groups that could be useful for ultra-high-resolution patterning of self-assembled monolayer films (SAMs) by atomic force microscopic (AFM) anodization. Zirconium−organophosphonate monolayers that contain embedded disulfide bonds were prepared by sequential deposition of Zr4+ and H2PO3-

Catalyst design of two-dimensional zirconium phosphonates

Journal of Molecular Catalysis, 1992
Abstract Zirconium phosphates or phosphonates, whose compounds have the general formula Zr(O3PR)2, can be obtained in crystalline forms with various layered structures. The preparation and characterization of two-dimensional zirconium phosphonate derivatives have been investigated.

Chapter 2. Zirconium Phosphonates

2011
This contribution presents a survey of the various aspects of the chemistry of Zr phosphonates, throughout 30 years of activity of the Laboratory of Inorganic Chemistry of Perugia on this topic. These inorganic–organic compounds are characterized by a very low solubility and chemical robustness, and their structure and reactivity can be easily ...

Zirconium(IV) Phosphonate–Phosphates as Efficient Ion-Exchange Materials

Inorganic Chemistry, 2016
Layered metal phosphonate-phosphate hybrid materials are known to be ion-exchange materials. Hybrids with zirconium metal centers were synthesized at varying phosphonate-phosphate ratios in order to explore the function and charge preference. The zirconium hybrid materials were found to have a range of applicable uses with preference for highly charged

Mesoporous Zirconium Phenylenesiliconate‐phosphonate Hybrids with Ordered Lamellar Nanostructures

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2015
AbstractNovel ordered lamellar mesostructure pZrPS‐2 was hydrothermally prepared by using zirconium propoxide and 4‐(EtO)2OPC6H4Si(OEt)3 (pPPS‐E), which was hydrolyzed to organic building units substituted with both siliconate and phosphonate groups, in the presence of CnTAB and TMAOH.

Intercalates of zirconium phosphates and phosphonates

1991
Abstract Tetravalent metals such as Zr, Ti, Sn, Ce, Th, etc. can be bound to oxygens belonging to XO4 and/or RXO3 groups (X = pentavalent element; R =inorganic or organic group such as -H, -OH, -CH3, -C6H5, etc.) and from such a combination many fibrous, layered, and three-dimensional structures can be obtained.

α-Zirconium phosphonates: versatile supports for N-heterocyclic carbenes

Chemical Communications, 2009
alpha-Zirconium phosphonates derivatised with N-heterocyclic carbenes provide a versatile platform for organocatalysis and metal-catalysed transformations, including the ring-opening polymerisation of cyclic esters, and olefin metathesis and hydroformylations by surface-bound ruthenium, rhodium and iridium complexes.

Protonic conductivity of layered zirconium phosphonates containing —SO3H groups. III. Preparation and characterization of γ-zirconium sulfoaryl phosphonates

Solid State Ionics, 1996
Five γ-layered zirconium phosphonates containing sulfophenyl, sulfobenzyl, as well as mono- and di-fluorinated sulfobenzyl groups in the interlayer region, have been prepared by topotactic exchange starting from γ-zirconium phosphate in the hydrogen form.

Bifunctional Mesoporous Zirconium Phosphonates for Delivery of Nucleic Acids

Inorganic Chemistry, 2013
The bifunctional mesoporous zirconium phosphonates (ZrBFs) were synthesized through surfactant-assisted co-condensation of ZrCl(4) with two different phosphonic acids, both 1-phosphomethylproline (H(3)PMP) and 1,4-bis(phosphomethyl)piperazine (BPMP), in a one-pot procedure.

Asymmetric Aldol Reaction Using Zirconium Phosphonate Supported l-Proline

Synfacts, 2014
Zirconium phosphonates supported L-proline (ZrPB-Pro) was prepared from functionalized L-proline PB-Pro, methyl and phenylphosphonic acid, and ZrOCl2. ZrPB-Pro catalyzed the direct asymmetric aldol addition reaction to give the adducts with good to excellent stereoselectivity.
