Zone scheduling

IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 1993
A technique for the resource constrained scheduling problem in high level synthesis is presented. The approach works by successively partitioning the control steps into zones and solving each of them by a 0.1 integer linear programming (ILP) technique.

Zoning in on podocytes

Kidney International, 2022
Podocytes undergo defined morphologic changes during development, homeostasis, and aging, and on injury. Quantitative podometric assessments of podocyte endowment provide a powerful tool to interrogate glomerular health. Expanding this approach to a regional assessment demonstrates that the podocytes from cortical, subcortical, and juxtamedullary ...

Aeolian Zone

Science, 1963
It is postulated that a widespread biotic zone, based on wind-blown organic materials such as pollen and oceanic albuminoids, exists in mountainous and polar regions. The aeolian zone or biome, distinct from alpine and arctic tundra, may be divided into terrestrial, nival, and aquatic divisions.

THE CONTAINMENT ZONE

2017
This article discusses the labor on the ground in Pakistan's Tribal Areas that sustains U.S. bombardment of that region. It argues that the relations on the ground co-constitute with the time-space compression of drone warfare.
