Sensor-fault tolerance using robust MPC with set-based state estimation and active fault isolation [PDF]
In this paper, a sensor fault-tolerant control (FTC) scheme using robust model predictive control (MPC) and set theoretic fault detection and isolation (FDI) is proposed.

Hierarchical zonotopal spaces [PDF]
Zonotopal algebra interweaves algebraic, geometric and combinatorial properties of a given linear map X. Of basic significance in this theory is the fact that the algebraic structures are derived from the geometry (via a non-linear procedure known as "the least map"), and that the statistics of the algebraic structures (e.g., the Hilbert series of ...

Random Zonotopes and Valuations
We define a random zonotope in Euclidean space, by adding finitely many random segments, which are independently and identically distributed. For this random polytope, we determine, under a mild assumption on the distribution, the expectations of the intrinsic volumes, more generally, the expectations of suitable valuations.

A New Approach for Guaranteed State Estimation by Zonotopes [PDF]
18th World CongressThe International Federation of Automatic ControlMilano (Italy) August 28 - September 2This paper proposes a methodology for guaranteed state estimation of linear discrete-time systems in the presence of bounded disturbances and noises.

GEOMETRIC BIJECTIONS FOR REGULAR MATROIDS, ZONOTOPES, AND EHRHART THEORY
Let $M$ be a regular matroid. The Jacobian group $\text{Jac}(M)$ of $M$ is a finite abelian group whose cardinality is equal to the number of bases of $M$.

Reachability analysis of linear hybrid systems via block decomposition [PDF]
Reachability analysis aims at identifying states reachable by a system within a given time horizon. This task is known to be computationally expensive for linear hybrid systems.

A wealth of geometric and combinatorial properties of a given linear endomorphism $X$ of $\R^N$ is captured in the study of its associated zonotope $Z(X)$, and, by duality, its associated hyperplane arrangement ${\cal H}(X)$. This well-known line of study is particularly interesting in case $n\eqbd\rank X \ll N$.

The Arithmetic Tutte polynomial of two matrices associated to Trees
Arithmetic matroids arising from a list A of integral vectors in Zn are of recent interest and the arithmetic Tutte polynomial MA(x, y) of A is a fundamental invariant with deep connections to several areas. In this work, we consider two lists of vectors
