Tribological behavior of AZ31/ZrO2 surface nanocomposites developed by friction stir processing
, 2020The present study focused on the poor wear resistance of the AZ31 magnesium alloy and improving its tribological applications. Surface nanocomposites reinforced with nano-sized ZrO2 particles on the AZ31 magnesium alloy substrate were fabricated by ...

The thermoluminescence of ZrO2 samples, both pure and doped with titanium, irradiated with low doses of x rays has been studied. The glow curve of ZrO2(Ti) exhibits, in the temperature range 100° to 350°K, four main peaks all having the same spectral composition.

Sorption kinetics of cesium on ZrO2 and ZrO2-SiO2-TiO2 microspheres
Radiochimica Acta, 2010ZrO 2 and ZrO 2 -SiO 2 -TiO 2 (with 1: 1: 1 mol ratio) microspheres have been prepared by the sol-gel method and characterized to study the sorption kinetics of cesium. The effect of pH on the adsorption capacity was determined for both type sorbents and the maximum adsorption percentage of cesium was observed at pH 10.

Effect of hydrogen treatments on ZrO2 and Pt/ZrO2 catalysts
Catalysis Letters, 1994ZrO2 and Pt/ZrO2 catalysts have been investigated by TPR, hydrogen chemisorption, TPDH and in the conversion ofn-hexane. At high temperature, ZrO2 takes up hydrogen. High temperature hydrogen treatment is a precondition of the catalytic activity in then-hexane conversion.

Stabilization of the cubic ZrO2 phase in the system ZrO2-MgO
Thermochimica Acta, 1990Abstract By progressive calcination of coprecipitated gels with a molar Zr-Mg ratio of 1:1, at different digestion times, it is found that, at temperatures of −700 °C, a cubic solid solution plus MgO is formed. This solid solution is transformed to a tetragonal structure at ~ 950 °C.
