Nitromethane decomposition over Cu-ZSM-5 and Co-ZSM-5

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2001
To better understand the nitromethane decomposition mechanism over Cu-ZSM-5 and Co-ZSM-5, CH3NO2 and CO adsorption on Cu-ZSM-5 and Co-ZSM-5 was studied by IR and EPR spectroscopies. After adsorption of nitromethane on H-ZSM-5, Al(III)–NCO forms at 200°C.

ZSM-5 Zeolite Membrane

2014
ZSM-5 (Zeolite Socony Mobil-5, patented by Mobil oil company in 1975) is a high silica zeolite with a MFI framework structure (Mobil Five) characterized by the formula |(Na x(H 2O) 16|[Al xSi 96−xO 192], where x

Nitrosylic complexes in Ag(I)–ZSM-5: a comparison with Cu(I)–ZSM-5

Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 1999
Abstract Starting from (NH4)+–ZSM-5, we have prepared Ag(I)–ZSM-5 and Cu(I)–ZSM-5. In both cases a nearly total cation exchange has been achieved. The local environment of Ag(I) and Cu(I) cations, as determined by an EXAFS study, is very similar in both cases: Cu(I) is surrounded by 2.5±0.3 oxygen atoms at 2.00±0.02 A and Ag(I) is surrounded by 2.5±0.

FTIR study of acetone oxime interaction with H-ZSM-5 and Cu-ZSM-5

SPIE Proceedings, 2004
Copper based catalysts are of great importance as catalysts for NO removal from exhaust industrial gases. Earlier authors have shown that NO reaction with acetone oxime (AO) is the rate determining step of NO catalytic reduction by propane over Cu-ZSM-5 catalyst at temperatures below 300°C.

Transformation of butanes over ZSM-5 zeolites. Part 2.—Formation of aromatic hydrocarbons over Zn-ZSM-5 and Ga-ZSM-5

J. Chem. Soc., Faraday Trans., 1991
Selectivities for aromatic hydrocarbons in the transformation of butanes are greatly enhanced by incorporating zinc or gallium cations into H-ZSM-5. This work is concerned with the activation of butanes over Zn-ZSM-5 and Ga-ZSM-5 at 773 K. The zinc and gallium cations serve as catalysts for dehydrogenation of the starting alkanes.

Synthesis and characterization of M‐ZSM‐5 composites prepared from ZSM‐5 zeolite

Asia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2008
AbstractMicromesoporous M‐ZSM‐5 composites were hydrothermally synthesized by the self‐assembly of precursors, alkali‐treated ZSM‐5 nanoparticles, with CTMABr surfactant in alkaline media and characterized by X‐ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption, Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) etc.

Co-ZSM-5 and Mn-ZSM-5 synthesised directly from aqueous fluoride gels

Chemical Communications, 1997
Isomorphously substituted zeolite ZSM-5 is synthesised using an aqueous, slightly acidic, fluoride medium incorporating tetrahalometallate compounds of cobalt and manganese; final products were characterised using XRD, SEM, XRF, FTIR, TG–DTA, and evidence of metal incorporation into the zeolite framework is given.
