ABSTRACT Shark nursery habitats are priority targets for area‐based conservation as they protect key age classes that exhibit restricted area use. However, the lack of detailed, species‐specific biological and ecological data often undermines the efficacy of coastal management strategies. This study employed complementary Baited Remote Underwater Video

Cellular uptake of the EBV transcription factor EB1/Zta
A number of viral proteins have the property to penetrate into the cells when present in the extra-cellular compartment. Here, we report that the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) transcriptional activator EB1/Zta, which is responsible for the activation of the EBV lytic replication, binds to lymphoid cells surface, is efficiently translocated and accumulates ...

ZTA-Knockout EBV+HK-1 cells lost the capacity of recruiting and polarizing monocyte.
(A) The GFP profiles of EBV+ HK-1 after ZTA deletion were analyzed by flow cytometry. (B) The CRISPR/Cas9-mediated knockout efficiency of ZTA was estimated by measuring ZTA protein expression (n = 3).

Modulation of lung inflammation by the Epstein-Barr virus protein Zta
Several studies have implicated gamma-herpesviruses, particularly Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), in the progression of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The data presented here examine the possible role that EBV plays in the potentiation of this disease by ...

Ameliorative Effects of Lycopene and L‐Carnitine on CCl4‐Induced Liver Fibrosis Rat Model
Rats with CCl4‐induced liver fibrosis may benefit from the synergistic antifibrotic effects of lycopene (30 mg/kg) and L‐carnitine (200 mg/kg). Treatment improves liver function tests and lowers oxidative stress, hepatic fibrosis, LDH levels, and body weight loss.

EBV Genome Variations and Association With Diseases
ABSTRACT The Epstein‐Barr virus (EBV) is associated with a range of diseases, including malignancies and autoimmune disorders. Driven by advances in deep sequencing technologies, recent studies have systematically characterized EBV genomic landscapes in diverse clinical specimens, uncovering distinct geographic patterns in strain distribution. However,
