Phase space structures and ionization dynamics of hydrogen atom in elliptically polarized microwaves

open access: yes, 2006
The multiphoton ionization of hydrogen atoms in a strong elliptically polarized microwave field exhibits complex features that are not observed for ionization in circular and linear polarized fields.

A self‐driven synchronous rectification wide‐range ZVS single‐switch forward converter controlled using the variable inductance

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2023
A new single switch ZVS forward converter with a wide soft‐switching range is proposed here. Compared to the conventional forward converter, the proposed converter uses fewer components and operates under ZVS soft switching.

Constant Frequency ZVS PWM Converter

open access: yes2021 IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference & Expo (ITEC), 2021
In this paper, a simple yet novel buck or boost adaptive zero-voltage switching (ZVS) converter topology is proposed for soft switching pulse-width modulation (PWM) dc / dc converters. The converter is designed for the high switching frequency that can achieve high efficiency by reducing switching losses for the entire load range at low and high power.

Electronic dynamics and frequency-dependent effects in circularly polarized strong-field physics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We analyze, quantum mechanically, the dynamics of ionization with a strong, circularly polarized, laser field. We show that the main source for non-adiabatic effects is connected to an effective barrier lowering due to the laser frequency.

Extension of Zero Voltage Switching Capability for CLLC Resonant Converter

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
TheCLLC resonant converter has been widely used to obtaina high power conversion efficiency with sinusoidal current waveforms and a soft switching capability. However, it has a limited voltage gain range according to the input voltage variation.

A 2.7-kW, 29-MHz class-E/F/sub odd/ amplifier with a distributed active transformer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A Class-E/Fodd high power amplifier (PA) using the distributed active transformer (DAT) is demonstrated at 29MHz. The DAT combines the output power from four VDMOS push-pull pairs.

Improved ZVS Criterion for Series Resonant Converters

open access: yesIEEE Access
Zero voltage switching (ZVS) of power MOSFETs is essential for resonant converters and the ZVS criterion should be formulated appropriately to achieve the ZVS condition. Conventionally, the energy-based criterion has been considered the most accurate ZVS

Extended Off-Time Control for CRM Boost Converter Based on Piecewise Equivalent Capacitance Model

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Valley-switching (VS) and zero-voltage switching (ZVS) improves overall efficiency in critical conduction mode (CRM) boost converters. To achieve VS/ZVS, off-time of the main switch is often extended to match the resonance period by circuit inductor and ...
