Do Parents Propagate Inequality Among Children? Evidence From Chinese and Swedish Twins
ABSTRACT Economists have long studied how parental behavior shapes within‐family inequality, yet empirical findings remain mixed. Using twins data from China and Sweden, we examine the predominant mechanisms reported in the literature. Parents in both countries invest similarly during childhood.

ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to determine the relative contributions of genetic and environmental factors to phenotypic variations of dental arch shape from the primary to permanent dentition stages. Materials and Methods Maxillary and mandibular digital models of 188 twin pairs (90 monozygotic and 98 dizygotic) in the primary dentition stage ...

Abstract Background Antibody identification testing is essential for preventing hemolytic transfusion reactions from unexpected red cell antibodies. Although automated interpretation is desirable to improve efficiency and consistency, conventional algorithmic approaches show limited accuracy, particularly in complex cases.

Means, standard deviations, and analysis of variance by sex and zygosity for IQ.
MZ = monozygotic; DZ = dizygotic; M = mean; SD = standard deviation; ANOVA = analysis of variance; zyg/sex/zyg*sex = p-value associated variance attributable to zygosity/sex/the zygosity*sex interaction; R2 = variance explained by the ANOVA model.

Abstract Background The increasing diversity of blood donor populations has created new challenges for transfusion services worldwide. The identification of donors lacking relevant high‐prevalence antigens is becoming increasingly important to ensure compatible blood products for alloimmunized patients and to support the development of rare donor ...

Age- and Sex-differences in the Validity of Questionnaire-based Zygosity in Twins
Questionnaire-based zygosity assessment in twins has generally been found to be valid. In this report we evaluate sex- and age-differences in the validity of such questionnaire-based classification when using the four questions that have been the basis ...

Using 1056 Chinese twins, we estimated DNA methylation heritability (mean h2 = 18.3%) and genetic correlations with blood pressure. Association analyses identified 914 SBP‐related and 624 DBP‐related CpGs, with attenuation within monozygotic pairs. Integrating mQTL, GWAS, eQTL, and pQTL data identified bidirectional CpG–blood pressure relationships and

The main aim of this study was to develop and optimize a questionnaire-based zygosity determination method in Chinese adolescent twins. Participants were 471 pairs of same-sex twins (345 monozygotic, 126 dizygotic) with a mean age of 14.56 years (SD = 2 ...

Causes of Delivery and Outcomes of Very Preterm Twins Stratified to Zygosity
The increasing rates of preterm birth among twins implicate that solid data on associated risks and outcomes are required. Assessment of zygosity is often based on clinical criteria (evaluation of placenta; same gender, birth weight discordance as ...
