Abstract

This is a piece of simple physics. We will look at the energy of a heavy ball which is dropped from a 10 meter tower. The ball is relatively heavy (10kg), and it is suspended from a cable at the top of the tower. When the cable is cut, the ball will accelerate under the force of gravity to the ground. We can make some calculations of the energy the ball has.
