Abstract
This chapter examines language and action for structural changes aimed at ending sexual assault and intimate partner violence on college campuses. The primary focus is on language used by campus authorities in reference to institutional operating procedures involved in staff development. This discussion draws on relevant policy and research but also on practical experience of working with, and learning from, staff members at universities across the United States who were active in violence prevention on campus.
