The purpose of this study was to classify latent profiles of CBCL and to identify the Dysregulation Profile in CBCL(CBCL-DP) in juvenile probationers. The CBCL-DP is conceptualized as a broad syndrome of dysregulation, indicating regulation problems in affective(Anxious/Depressed), behavioral(Aggressive Behavior), and cognitive(Attentional Problem) aspects and can be characterized as an indicator of a variety of psychiatric disorders and functional impairment. A total of 171 juvenile offenders newly reported on probation at Probation and Parole Offices participated in the study. Two-way ANOVAs showed that scores of female juvenile probationers were significantly higher than the normative group in Withdrawn/Depressive, Social Problems, Thought Problems, Attention Problems, and Rule-breaking Behavior Scales in CBCL. A latent profile analysis(LPA) was executed resulting in three latent classes: “rule-breaking behaviors,” “externalizing behaviors,” “mixed behaviors.” The mixed class showed higher scores in DSM scales of CBCL as well as parent-reported DSM-5 symptoms. This study demonstrated the distinctive characteristics of the CBCL-DP in juvenile probationers and emphasized the need for interventions programs specifically designed for those with the CBCL-DP.
