Description

This article presents results from a study on continuing education in Physical Education, aiming to understand the existing practices regarding the professional performance of this field. Data collection was carried out through various strategies, seeking to gather information and reflections from participants on health education in schools and their continuing education. The obtained results indicate that the main weaknesses in the process of continuing education in Physical Education are related to a lack of time and financial resources, as well as a lack of encouragement and institutional support. Additionally, professionals often seek updates only through traditional courses and events, without exploring other learning possibilities, such as the internet and social media. Faced with these weaknesses, it is important to develop more attractive and aligned approaches, which may include the use of educational technologies such as distance learning platforms and mobile applications, as well as the creation of spaces for discussion and exchange of experiences among professionals.
