Cutaneous Neoplasia in 340 Cats [PDF]

open access: bronzeVeterinary Pathology, 1991
A total of 340 cases of cutaneous neoplasia were diagnosed in 340 of 3,564 cats that were examined by biopsy or necropsy during a 41-month period from January 1, 1986 through May 31, 1989. Eighteen types of tumor occurred, but four types comprised 77% of the cases.

HTR1D functions as a key target of HOXA10-AS/miR-340-3p axis to promote the malignant outcome of pancreatic cancer via PI3K-AKT signaling pathway

open access: yesInternational Journal on Biological Sciences, 2022
Competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) are a newly discovered class of molecular regulators involved in many diseases, especially tumors. Therefore, exploration of the potential ceRNA regulatory network regarding the occurrence and development of pancreatic ...

miR-340-5p Mediates Cardiomyocyte Oxidative Stress in Diabetes-Induced Cardiac Dysfunction by Targeting Mcl-1

open access: yesOxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity, 2022
Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is initially characterized by early diastolic dysfunction, left ventricular remodeling, hypertrophy, and myocardial fibrosis, and it is eventually characterized by clinical heart failure. MicroRNAs (miRNAs), endogenous small

Baicalin suppresses lung cancer growth phenotypes via miR-340-5p/NET1 axis

open access: yesBioengineered, 2021
As a malignant disease, lung cancer has a high morbidity and mortality rate. Baicalin is derived from Radix Scutellariae and has anti-tumor effects, however, its role in lung cancer remains unknown.

miR-340: A multifunctional role in human malignant diseases

open access: yesInternational Journal on Biological Sciences, 2021
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are a class of short non-coding RNAs of approximately 22 nucleotides in length, which function by binding to the 3' UTR sequences of their target mRNAs.

NEDD4 triggers FOXA1 ubiquitination and promotes colon cancer progression under microRNA-340-5p suppression and ATF1 upregulation

open access: yesRNA Biology, 2021
NEDD4 is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that recognizes substrates through protein–protein interactions and is involved in cancer development. This study aimed to elucidate the function of NEDD4 in colon cancer (CC) progression and its mechanism of action. NEDD4

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1094 (LINC01094) promotes the progression of breast cancer (BC) by regulating the microRNA-340-5p (miR-340-5p)/E2F transcription factor 3 (E2F3) axis

open access: yesBioengineered, 2021
The present study was targeted at investigating the effects of long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1094 on breast cancer (BC) cell proliferation, apoptosis, and cell cycle and its related mechanism.

Reduction of lamin B receptor levels by miR-340-5p disrupts chromatin, promotes cell senescence and enhances senolysis.

open access: yesNucleic Acids Research, 2021
A major stress response influenced by microRNAs (miRNAs) is senescence, a state of indefinite growth arrest triggered by sublethal cell damage. Here, through bioinformatic analysis and experimental validation, we identified miR-340-5p as a novel miRNA ...

Hsa_circ_001680 affects the proliferation and migration of CRC and mediates its chemoresistance by regulating BMI1 through miR-340

open access: yesMolecular Cancer, 2020
Accumulating evidence indicates that circular RNAs (circRNAs) act as microRNA (miRNA) sponges to directly inhibit specific miRNAs and alter their ability to regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level; this mechanism is believed to occur ...
