Forward‐backward resolvent splitting methods for general mixed variational inequalities

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2003, Issue 43, Page 2759-2770, 2003., 2003
We use the technique of updating the solution to suggest and analyze a class of new splitting methods for solving general mixed variational inequalities. It is shown that these modified methods converge for pseudomonotone operators, which is a weaker condition than monotonicity. Our methods differ from the known three‐step forward‐backward splitting of

Projective algorithms for solving complementarity problems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 29, Issue 2, Page 99-113, 2002., 2002
We present robust projective algorithms of the von Neumann type for the linear complementarity problem and for the generalized linear complementarity problem. The methods, an extension of Projections Onto Convex Sets (POCS) are applied to a class of problems consisting of finding the intersection of closed nonconvex sets. We give conditions under which

Generalized strongly set‐valued nonlinear complementarity problems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 22, Issue 3, Page 597-604, 1999., 1999
In this paper, we introduce a new class of generalized strongly set‐valued nonlinear complementarity problems and construct new iterative algorithms. We show the existence of solutions for this kind of nonlinear complementarity problems and the convergence of iterative sequences generated by the algorithm. Our results extend some recent results in this

Sensitivity analysis for variational inclusions by Wiener‐Hopf equation techniques

open access: yesInternational Journal of Stochastic Analysis, Volume 12, Issue 3, Page 223-232, 1999., 1998
In this paper, we extend the sensitivity analysis framework developed recently for variational inequalities by Noor and Yen to variational inclusions relying on Wiener‐Hopf equation techniques. We prove the continuity and the Lipschitz continuity of the locally unique solution to parametric variational inclusions without assuming differentiability of ...

On hemicontinuity of bifunctions for solving equilibrium problems

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2014
This paper deals with solving equilibrium problems under local conditions on equilibrium bifunctions. Some techniques first considered for multivalued mixed variational inequalities are investigated and applied to equilibrium problems.

Convergence analysis of the iterative methods for quasi complementarity problems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 11, Issue 2, Page 319-334, 1988., 1988
In this paper, we consider the iterative methods for the quasi complementarity problems of the form where m is a point‐to‐point mapping and T is a continuous mapping from Rn into itself. The algorithms considered in this paper are general and unified ones, which include many existing algorithms as special cases for solving the complementarity problems.

A new smoothing method for solving nonlinear complementarity problems

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
In this paper, a new improved smoothing Newton algorithm for the nonlinear complementarity problem was proposed. This method has two-fold advantages. First, compared with the classical smoothing Newton method, our proposed method needn’t nonsingular of ...

Iterative methods for nonlinear quasi complementarity problems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 10, Issue 2, Page 339-344, 1987., 1986
In this paper, we consider and study an iterative algorithm for finding the approximate solution of the nonlinear quasi complementarity problem of finding u ϵ k(u) such that where m is a point‐to‐point mapping, T is a (nonlinear) continuous mapping from a real Hilbert space H into itself and k*(u) is the polar cone of the convex cone k(u) in H. We also

New error bounds for linear complementarity problems of Σ-SDD matrices and SB-matrices

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
A new error bound for the linear complementarity problem (LCP) of Σ-SDD matrices is given, which depends only on the entries of the involved matrices. Numerical examples are given to show that the new bound is better than that provided by García-Esnaola ...

New error bounds for linear complementarity problems of weakly chained diagonally dominant B-matrices

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2017
Some new error bounds for the linear complementarity problems are obtained when the involved matrices are weakly chained diagonally dominant B-matrices. Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed bounds.
