Filtering Eye-Tracking Data From an EyeLink 1000: Comparing Heuristic, Savitzky-Golay, IIR and FIR Digital Filters [PDF]
In a previous report (Raju et al.,2023) we concluded that, if the goal was to preserve events such as saccades, microsaccades, and smooth pursuit in eye-tracking recordings, data with sine wave frequencies less than 100 Hz (-3db) were the signal and data above 100 Hz were noise. We compare 5 filters in their ability to preserve signal and remove noise.

A Time-Mode PWM 1st Order Low-Pass Filter
In this work, a first-order low-pass filter is proposed as suitable for time-mode PWM signal processing. In time-mode PWM signal processing, the pulse width of a rectangular pulse is the processing variable.

Filtering Techniques for Chaotic Signal Processing [PDF]
The vulnerability of chaotic communication systems to noise in transmission channel is a serious obstacle for practical applications. Traditional signal processing techniques provide only limited possibilities for efficient filtering broadband chaotic signals.

A nonlinear optoelectronic filter for electronic signal processing [PDF]
The conversion of electrical signals into modulated optical waves and back into electrical signals provides the capacity for low-loss radio-frequency (RF) signal transfer over optical fiber. Here, we show that the unique properties of this microwave-photonic link also enable the manipulation of RF signals beyond what is possible in conventional systems.

Finite Impulse Response Filters for Simplicial Complexes [PDF]
In this paper, we study linear filters to process signals defined on simplicial complexes, i.e., signals defined on nodes, edges, triangles, etc. of a simplicial complex, thereby generalizing filtering operations for graph signals. We propose a finite impulse response filter based on the Hodge Laplacian, and demonstrate how this filter can be designed ...

Performance analysis of multi-rate signal processing digital filters on FPGA
Multi-rate signal processing, an important part of the design of a digital frequency converter, is realized mainly based on interpolation and decimation, which match the sampling rate between the baseband and high-frequency processing side, especially in

A multichannel filter for TV signal processing [PDF]
A multichannel filtering approach is introduced. The framework is used to correct impulsive noise and other image impairments in TV signal transmission. The principles behind the new filter are explained in detail. Simulation results indicate that the new filter offers some flexibility and has excellent performance.

Design and Implementation of Butterworth, Chebyshev-I and Elliptic Filter for Speech Signal Analysis [PDF]
In the field of digital signal processing, the function of a filter is to remove unwanted parts of the signal such as random noise that is also undesirable. To remove noise from the speech signal transmission or to extract useful parts of the signal such as the components lying within a certain frequency range, filters are necessary.
