AdS/BCFT with brane-localized scalar field
In this paper, we study the dynamics of end-of-the-world (EOW) branes in AdS with scalar fields localized on the branes as a new class of gravity duals of CFTs on manifolds with boundaries.

Analytical investigations on non-minimally coupled scalar fields outside neutral reflecting shells
We study the existence of scalar fields outside neutral reflecting shells. We consider static massive scalar fields non-minimally coupled to the Gauss–Bonnet invariant.

Differences between scalar field and scalar density field solutions [PDF]
Differences between scalar field and scalar density solutions are explored using a Robertson–Walker (RW) metric, and a nonrelativistic Hamiltonian is derived for a scalar density field in the post-newtonian approximation. The results are compared with those of a scalar field.

Construction of inflationary scenarios with the Gauss–Bonnet term and nonminimal coupling
Inflationary models with a scalar field nonminimally coupled both with the Ricci scalar and with the Gauss–Bonnet term are studied. We propose the way of generalization of inflationary scenarios with the Gauss–Bonnet term and a scalar field minimally ...

On Mass Spectra of Primordial Black Holes
Evidence for the primordial black holes (PBH) presence in the early Universe renews permanently. New limits on their mass spectrum challenge existing models of PBH formation.

Long-Range Scalar Forces in Five-Dimensional General Relativity
We present new results regarding the long-range scalar field that emerges from the classical Kaluza unification of general relativity and electromagnetism.

Static spherically symmetric uncoupled scalar space–times have no event horizon and a divergent Kretschmann singularity at the origin of the coordinates. The singularity is always present so that nonstatic solutions have been sought to see if the singularities can develop from an initially singular free space–time.

We discuss the problem of the quantization and dynamic evolution of a scalar free field in the interior of a Schwarzschild black hole. A unitary approach to the dynamics of the quantized field is proposed: a time-dependent Hamiltonian governing the ...

With a suitable decomposition of its energy-momentum tensor into pressureless matter and a vacuum type term, we investigate the spherical gravitational collapse of a minimally coupled, self-interacting scalar field, showing that it collapses to a ...

Quantum imploding scalar fields [PDF]
The d’Alembertian □ ϕ = 0 has the solution ϕ = f ( v )/ r , where f is a function of a null coordinate v , and this allows creation of a divergent singularity out of nothing.
