Computer-aided food engineering

Nature Food, 2022
Computer-aided food engineering (CAFE) can reduce resource use in product, process and equipment development, improve time-to-market performance, and drive high-level innovation in food safety and quality. Yet, CAFE is challenged by the complexity and variability of food composition and structure, by the transformations food undergoes during processing

INVESTIGATIONS IN COMPUTER-AIDED INSTRUCTION AND COMPUTER-AIDED CONTROLS [PDF]

open access: possible, 1967
Abstract : A summary is presented of two research projects in the area of computer-aided instruction and man-computer interaction. In 1965 Rosenberg completed a study entitled Computer Aided Teaching of Dynamic System Behavior (AD-640 681). This study demonstrated that within the delimited area of formal engineering theory a computer simulated ...

Computer-aided gene design

"Protein Engineering, Design and Selection", 1992
A computer program, which runs on MS-DOS personal computers, is described that assists in the design of synthetic genes coding for proteins. The goal of the program is the design of a gene which (i) contains as many unique restriction sites as possible and (ii) uses a specific codon usage.

Computer-aided stereotach

Computers and Biomedical Research, 1969
Abstract A stereotach has been designed and constructed on the principle that computer processing of the readings frees the designer to arrange an instrument for maximum convenience of manipulation, and the constructor from precise machine work except at a few critical points.

Computer-aided staging

The Journal of Visualization and Computer Animation, 1999
This paper describes the genesis and main functionalities of a real-time animation system for designing multimedia scenes. Users can create a system of synchronized events and give a structured shape to the various parts of a performance. Much work has been done on the production of realistic synthetic movies, but little to support planning and pre ...

Computer-Aided Education

1988
When television first came out thirty years ago, educators thought it would transform teaching. Since it could present material cheaply to a wide audience, students would not have to travel far for education. Today, television is still used in teaching, but it has never quite reached its vast potential.

Computer‐Aided Diagnosis of Genodermatoses

The Journal of Dermatology, 2004
AbstractGenodermatoses are not usually easily diagnosed by inexperienced physicians. We developed a computer program to aid their clinical diagnoses and compared its accuracy rate to those of five residents in dermatology. The database of the program contained the clinical findings of 100 genodermatoses.
