How the formation of Neptune shapes the Kuiper belt [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Inward migration of giant planets is predicted by hydrodynamical simulations during the gas phase of the protoplanetary disc. The phenomenon is also invoked to explain resonant and near-resonant exoplanetary system structures. The early inward migration may also have affected our Solar System and sculpted its different minor planet reservoirs.

The spherical segmented Langmuir probe in a flowing thermal plasma: numerical model of the current collection [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2005
The segmented Langmuir probe (SLP) has been recently proposed by one of the authors (Lebreton, 2002) as an instrument to derive the bulk velocity of terrestrial or planetary plasmas, in addition to the electron density and temperature that are ...

On the Temperature Profiles and Emission Spectra of Mini-Neptune Atmospheres [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Atmospheric observations of mini-Neptunes orbiting M-dwarfs are beginning to provide constraints on their chemical and thermal properties, while also providing clues about their interiors and potential surfaces. With their relatively large scale heights and large planet-star contrasts, mini-Neptunes are currently ideal targets towards the goal of ...
