The History of Pain Measurement [PDF]
“How we come by our knowledge of another person's pain is a nice study in communication. It has much in common with the sort of communication attempted by the painter, the poet and the musician – the conveying of moods and feelings.” James Parkhouse, 19631.

HDAC4 regulates apoptosis in Acan‐CreERT2;HDAC4d/d mice with osteoarthritis by downregulating ATF4
Using the AcanCreERT2;HDAC4fl/fl genetic mouse model, we further investigated the role of histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) in chondrocyte apoptosis. We found that knocking down HDAC4 may be associated with chondrocyte apoptosis by upregulating the activating transcription factor 4 (ATF4)/CAAT/enhancer binding protein homologous (CHOP) signaling pathway ...

This study reports the upregulation of ELMO1 and GPR141 in human Fuchs' endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD) corneal endothelium and ultraviolet A‐induced FECD mice model. A genetic association of an intergenic single nucleotide polymorphism rs918980 present between both genes is observed with FECD in the Indian population.
