Drug Stability Analysis by Raman Spectroscopy [PDF]
Pharmaceutical drugs are available to astronauts to help them overcome the deleterious effects of weightlessness, sickness and injuries. Unfortunately, recent studies have shown that some of the drugs currently used may degrade more rapidly in space ...

Cyclodextrins and Their Derivatives as Drug Stability Modifiers. [PDF]
Cyclodextrins (CDs) are cyclic oligosaccharides that contain a relatively hydrophobic central cavity and a hydrophilic outer surface. They are widely used to form non-covalent inclusion complexes with many substances. Although such inclusion complexes typically exhibit higher aqueous solubility and chemical stability than pure drugs, it has been shown ...

Stability of antimycobacterial drugs in susceptibility testing [PDF]
Aqueous solutions of 0.02% isoniazid, 0.2% streptomycin, 0.2% para-aminosalicylate, and 0.5% ethambutol and ethylene glycol solutions of 0.5% ethionamide stored at 3 to 7 degrees C remained stable for 1 year, as did aqueous solutions of 0.05% ethionamide hydrochloride, 0.05% kanamycin, 0.05% viomycin, and 0.1% capreomycin stored at -20 degrees C.

Compressed Oxygen in Drug Stability Experiments
A drug stability experiment accelerated by compressed oxygen was established. The stability of 10% ascorbic acid solution as a model was studied and the kinetic parameters were obtained with the newly established experimental method. Because ascorbic acid degrades under both anaerobic and aerobic conditions, the total rate constant k(total) can be ...
