On the diffraction pattern of C60 peapods
We present detailed calculations of the diffraction pattern of a powder of bundles of C$_{60}$ peapods. The influence of all pertinent structural parameters of the bundles on the diffraction diagram is discussed, which should lead to a better ...

X‐ray diffraction characterization of multilayer semiconductor structures [PDF]
The analysis of double‐crystal x‐ray rocking curves of single‐crystal layered structures can give valuable information on layer strains, displacement of atoms from normal lattice sites (which reduces the structure factor), crystallographic ...

Spatio-temporal coherent control of thermal excitations in solids
X-ray reflectivity (XRR) measurements of femtosecond laser-induced transient gratings are applied to demonstrate the spatio-temporal coherent control of thermally induced surface deformations on ultrafast timescales.

In-situ spectroelectrochemical studies of the removal of chlorides from copper [PDF]
This paper describes corrosion potential measurements of corroded copper samples taken whilst acquiring timeresolved X-ray diffraction or X-ray absorption data in a synchrotron beam line.

Dynamical Diffraction Theory for Wave Packet Propagation in Deformed Crystals
We develop a theory for the trajectory of an x ray in the presence of a crystal deformation. A set of equations of motion for an x-ray wave packet including the dynamical diffraction is derived, taking into account the Berry phase as a correction to ...

Specimen Holder Design Improves Accuracy of X-Ray Powder Analysis [PDF]
Specimen holder for X ray diffraction analysis presents the specimen to the incident X rays in a curvature. This permits the use of an X ray beam having a larger divergence angle, the beam intensity is increased, and the statistical accuracy of analysis ...

Combining high pressure and coherent diffraction: a first feasibility test
We present a first experiment combining high pression and coherent X-ray diffraction. By using a dedicated diamond anvil cell, we show that the degree of coherence of the X-ray beam is preserved when the X-ray beam passes through the diamond cell.
