Int3D: A Data Reduction Software for Single Crystal Neutron Diffraction

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
We describe a new software package for the data reduction of single crystal neutron diffraction using large 2D detectors. The software consists of a graphical user interface from which the user can visualize, interact with and process the data.

Axial-Symmetric Diffraction Radiation Antenna with a Very Narrow Funnel-Shaped Directional Diagram

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
The paper is focused on reliable modeling and analysis of axially symmetric radiators with a very narrow (throat) funnel-shaped radiation pattern. When such a diagram is formed, a wave analogue of Smith–Purcell coherent radiation is realized—the surface ...

X-ray crystal structure of cytotoxic oxidized cholesterols: 7-ketocholesterol and 25-hydroxycholesterol

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1997
The cytotoxic cholesterol derivative, 7-ketocholesterol, crystallizes in a monoclinic unit cell, space group P2(1) with a = 11.405 A, b = 6.288 A, c = 35.393 A and beta = 92.75 degrees (Z = 4).

Growth of Sr1-xCaxRuO3 thin films by metalorganic aerosol deposition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We report the growth of thin films of Sr1-xCaxRuO3 on SrTiO3 and MgO substrates by metalorganic aerosol deposition. The structure and microstructure is characterized by X-ray diffraction and room-temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM ...

Structural determination and packing analysis of a cholesteryl caprate/cholesteryl laurate solid solution.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1994
This paper describes the X-ray crystal structure analysis of a cholesteryl ester solid solution, cholesteryl decanoate/cholesteryl laurate, grown from a bulk concentration with molar ratio 0.56/0.43. The unit cell is monoclinic with a = 12.969, b = 9.048,

Scattering from a Truncated Metamaterial Layer Hosted by a Planar PEC Structure: Uniform Asymptotic Solution and Validation Tests

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
This research paper proposes an analytical approach for evaluating electromagnetic scattering from a planar complex object made of a perfect electric conductor, which hosts a double negative metamaterial half-layer on the lit face. The method is based on

Incommensurate structures of the [CH3NH3][Co(COOH)3] compound

open access: yesIUCrJ, 2019
The present article is devoted to the characterization of the structural phase transitions of the [CH3NH3][Co(COOH)3] (1) perovskite-like metal–organic compound through variable-temperature single-crystal neutron diffraction.

Three-dimensional Quantum Slit Diffraction and Diffraction in Time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study the quantum slit diffraction problem in three dimensions. In the treatment of diffraction of particles by a slit, it is usually assumed that the motion perpendicular to the slit is classical.

High-throughput electron diffraction in the XtaLAB Synergy-ED [PDF]

open access: yesStructural Dynamics
Microcrystal electron diffraction (MicroED/3D ED), which solves atomic structures from crystals in the sub-micron size range using electron radiation, has evolved from an exploratory technique into a cutting-edge analytical method practiced in ...
