Ototoxicity of cypermethrin in Wistar rats
This study presents the effect of cypermethrin on the cochlear function in Wistar rats post-subchronic inhalation exposure. Worldwide several pesticides are described as causing health disorders. Cypermethrin is currently one of the most commonly used, however, little is known about its harmful effects, especially related to hearing. Human studies have

Effects of cypermethrin on Allium cepa
AbstractIn this study, toxic effects of the cypermethrin in Allium cepa L. cells were investigated. For this aim, we investigated the changes in pigment contents, antioxidant enzymes, mitotic index and chromosomal abnormalities as indicators of toxicity. The seeds were treated with different doses (1.5, 3.0, 6.0 ppm) of cypermethrin for 72 h.

Nephrotoxicity of cypermethrin in rats. Histopathological aspects.
Cypermethrin (CYP) is an important type II pyrethroid pesticide widely used to protect crops against pests and insect infestations. However, its toxicity is a risk to both human health and the surrounding environment. The present study was conducted to investigate the nephrotoxic effect and histopathological changes caused by Cypermethrin in the kidney

Toxicological effects of cypermethrin on female albino rats
A study was undertaken to evaluate the effects of cypermethrin on reproduction of female albino rats. The experimental rats were fed cypermethrin at 50 mg/kg b. wt. continuously for a period of 2 and 4 weeks. Feed and water intake was also noted daily for control, vehicle treated and cypermethrin-treated rats.

Effects of dietary cypermethrin on chickens
In the following study effects of dietary cypermethrin in chickens were observed. Chickens were administered cypermethrin in the feed in nominal concentrations of 150, 300 and 600 ppm (mean measured concentrations: 130, 285 and 655 mg/kg feed) for a period of 28 days.

Statement on MRLs for alpha‐cypermethrin and screening of the existing EU MRLs for cypermethrin
Abstract In accordance with Article 43 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the European Commission requested EFSA to prepare a statement on the maximum residue level (MRL) proposals for alpha‐cypermethrin and to perform a screening of the existing MRLs for cypermethrins based on the toxicological reference values of alpha‐cypermethrin. Conversion factors
